You are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of Deeping St Nicholas Parish Council, which will be held on Monday the 23rd of September commencing at 7pm in the Primary School on Main Road, Deeping St Nicholas.   The business to be dealt with at the meeting is listed in the agenda below.  If you are unable to attend, please notify me of your apology.

There will be a 15-minute public forum at the start of the meeting, where members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council.  Your attendance is also requested during this period.

AGENDA

Chairman’s welcome and Public Forum.

1.   To receive and approve apologies for absence.

2.   To receive Declarations of Interest, in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 being any pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Member’s Register of Interests.

3.   To approve the Minutes of the Annual Parish Council meeting held on the 22nd of July.

4.   Matters arising from the Minutes, (not included on this Agenda).

5.   To confirm membership of the following sub-committees:

a.   HR: Currently LM (Chair), AC, SC and JM

b.   Finance: Currently DC (Chair), AC, NW and SH

c.   Planning: Currently AC (Chair), JM, RJ, OM and NW

d.   Playing Fields: Currently RJ (Chair), OM, LM, JM and DC

e.   Highways & Footpaths: Currently NW (Chair), SH and SC

6.   To receive the Clerk’s report on matters outstanding.

7.   HR Committee: To receive the notes and approve recommendations made at a recent meeting.

8.   Finance Committee: To receive the notes and approve recommendations made at a recent meeting.

9.   Finance Matters: -

a.   To receive an update regarding the 2023/24 AGAR.

b.   To receive Bank Reconciliations and Summary Reports.

c.   To approve the list of Invoices for Payment (separate sheet).

10.   Planning Matters.

a.   To receive the report of the Planning Committee.

11.   To receive an update from the Playing Fields Committee.

12.   To receive an update from the Highways & Footpaths Committee and receive the CSW report.

13.   To discuss the Parish Plan Questionnaire.

14.   To discuss and resolve arrangements for Remembrance Sunday, 10th of November.

15.   To discuss and agree ideas regarding a Christmas Tree for the village.

16.   To discuss the Pride of DSN awards.

17.   To discuss topics and set a date for the Annual Parish Meeting.

18.   To receive reports and updates from members on Community groups and to resolve any requests.

19.   To suggest Agenda items for the next meeting.

20.   To confirm the date of the next meeting which has been provisionally set for the 25th of November.

21.   To resolve on whether the Council will move into closed session to consider the following confidential item in accordance with the provision of Section 1 (2) of the Public Bodies (admission to meetings Act 1960).

Should this resolution be passed, the public and press will be required to leave the meeting at this stage. 

22.   To discuss points around the Council’s Code of Conduct, (copies tabled at the meeting).
